On the 10 March 2011 the Wessex Kidney Patients Association and Lucy from the live donor team, set up a stand in QA main reception to promote the importance of kidneys and signs to watch for that may show signs of kidney disease.

We also had free pens, doodlebugs, mouse mats and pin badges to hand out along with informational leaflets on Organ Donation. In total 12 people signed up to the Organ Donor register and several more took a form to peruse at their leisure.

All in all it was a successful day because the more people that are aware of Kidney diseases and the importance of being an Organ Donor, the better.
